Expression Session

Expression Session Workshop!
with Kristy Prince

Wednesday, October 19, 2016

In this one-night workshop you will express your Right Now, creating a 12″ x 12″ canvas with paint and collage. You will give yourself permission to “BE” in the moment of today, while playing with color and texture. This is an opportunity to experiment and play, rather than having to “know how.” No art experience necessary, just come, let go and have fun!

10 people maximum.

Cost: $25 (includes all art supplies and refreshments)
Everything you need will be supplied but feel free to bring anything you may want to use for collage or inspiration ideas.

Journal Making with Katherine England

The best part about opening PÄS is all the wonderful and talented people we get to meet. This christmas Brian got me an all-day journal making class with Katherine England. She is a well-known artist here in Fullerton. The day event lasted from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at her fun studio here in Fullerton. She was such and inspiration to me as she led my heart to fly with freedom.

Here is her studio in her backyard. I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day.

After we folded 8 signatures of watercolor paper, we learned the coptic stitch. I also added some random piece of decorative paper that I love.

We made the covers from 5″ x 7″ pieces of wood and used PVC glue to adhere reprinted OZ book covers.

This is the finished journal complete with cover and leather binding. I already started to write in it. I’m looking forward to a great year of getting to know more of our community in 2010!

Ryan and the Technicolor Wardrobe

You might remember from our opening night Ryan and the Technicolor Waredrobe. This past sunday we had the privilege to see his show in it’s entirety at the Curtis Theatre in Brea. It was a great night and I now know a little more about Ryan. He was able to tell stories using visuals and music to capture his audience, but his main bait was humor. You can’t help but to laugh at his shopping adventure with his mother and his wonderful take on  fashion. He really did a great job at getting me to see a different view of the world.

After the intermission Ryan had musical guest Clara Chung…

and My Parasol.

I left feeling inspired. And I know Brian felt the same way.

Partridge in a Pear Tree brings community

PÄS loves community. We wanted to bring in some great vendors for our “Partridge in a Pear Tree” event that would help our small tribe of participants shop in a new light this holiday season…

We received some great giveaways and exclusive discount offers from some really great indie artists and local stores who believe in this spirit of community. I hope you will take time to visit their shops! They are vibrant. decadent. cute. vintage. lovely!

There is still some time to join our workshop! Register Now. November 20th is D-Day!

Salvage Life.

A fresh approach to yesterday’s fashions, this shop’s clothing and jewelry designs are not only the hippest color of going green, but they are so chic. Beth does an impeccable job at selecting and repurposing all things vintage.

Amy Hanna.

Wow. If I could simply be her bag lady on a vintage treasure escapade, I would be in heaven. She is a pure genius and her jewelry is nothing short of exquisite. Seriously. Her new book, “Rejuvenated Jewels” will be part of our raffle giveaways.

Gilding the Lily.

This gorgeous shop is just around the corner from PÄS and is filled with more treasures than you can possibly imagine…vintage laces and ribbons, beads and all the trimmings for an exquisite project.

Oh, Hello Friend.

An artist whose love for her work and keen eye for design shines through in big way. Her necklaces, charms and pins are just lovely and make me smile.

Paper Pastries.

I never thought I would describe paper as YUM…but YUM-O! Everything in this cute shop of stationary, signage, bookplates and more are adorably whimsical.

Hearts and Laserbeams.

Sooo engaging and witty this one! The artwork and wide range of products is vibrant, colorful and, at times, just makes you want to laugh at loud.

Partridge in a Pear Tree (Options)

It has been a blessing to hear from you about the opening of PÄS. We have had so many well wishers and endless ideas that we are excited and encouraged to keep going.

Our first workshop on December 5th is a great start to becoming a community of people who enjoy creating together. We received some feedback in regards to it and made some changes for you to choose from.

We are now breaking the full day up into two different parts. You can come to both or chose your own adventure.
Partridge in a Pear Tree WORKSHOP #1 will be Vintage Inspired Jewelry from 11am to 12pm for $30 per person.

Or, WORKSHOP #2, Mixed Media Wall Art at 1:15pm to 3pm for $48 per person.

Or register for BOTH! In between the 2 workshops you can explore downtown Fullerton’s local shops and resturants as well as the Mercantile Flea Market in the PÄS parking lot.
