epic church – complete identity campagin

it’s been a year in the making for this graphic identity and it is here! it’s finally here. epic church has always been perceived as a contemporary church and over the past ten years had a non-traditional feel to their brand. in fact, we designed their “10 year” logo last october (blog post: here) and there was nothing traditional about it. it was more about nostalgia. now, almost a year later, we have a main logo that will last a lifetime. i hope.

so, after many stabs at the new brand to carry the church from it’s ten years onward, we ended up reverting back to a previous logomark they had in the earlier stages of the church. we used the wings mark and added a new type face, tweaked some alignment and dressed it with new colors. colors that we feel represent fullerton. part of the church’s values are to love the Fullerton community. [Community. Justice. Healing.] These are not only their values but how they understand the person and ministry of Jesus – and thus their church community. included in the identity campaign is the logo, letterhead, envelopes and business cards for staff members which includes a custom die-cut of one of the wings, as well as a large banner to grace the side of the rented-gym of Wilshire Ave Church that acts as the sanctuary. there are also retractable displays created to support the brand. have a look:

to learn more about this great church in downtown fullerton, visit their web site www.epicchurch.net, or in person on a sunday morning at 11a.
