Saturday, December 5th – a whole lotta…
There was a lot going on down here in the SOCO District last saturday, december 5th. for starters, PÄS hosted it’s first workshop, Partridge in a Pear Tree, presented by Melissa Runcie. it was a total success. there were 8 participants who brought in and used the supplied vintage jewelry to make a broach-style necklace. this was our first taste of Christmas here at the shop… completely decorated with a tree and all…
the monthly Mercantile Market was in the parking lot as well as the city-wide Winterfest. there was a lot of foot traffic around fullerton on saturday and our area was packed. it was cool to have the market right here in our parking lot and snow to play in just beyond here in another parking lot. speaking of parking lots, we stenciled the spaces in ours. here’s the first space. (another blog post to come later…)
Vintage Inspired Jewelry Making
when the workshop was finished, we had a rush of kids crafts. they made ornaments for their tree.
in addition to the workshop, December’s Mercantile Market took place in the parking lot. everything from art, vintage, antiques, and handmade goodness was represented with holiday treats and music. the next Market will be the first weekend in February – don’t miss it!
and to top off the entire day, the city of Fullerton sponsored it’s 13th Annual Winterfest, a day of nostalgic shopping, dining, & entertainment. we saw a lot of traffic from the snow area located in the parking lot of Roscoe’s and Frati.
special thanks to Melissa Runcie for putting together the workshop and to the sponsors of the Partridge in a Pear Tree workshop who supplied goodies for the participants. Salvage Life. Amy Hanna. Gilding the Lily. Oh, Hello Friend. Paper Pastries. Hearts and Laserbeams. Adorned.
we’re looking forward to more great events at PÄS. stay tuned for a post on this weekend’s gallery opening: LIFE STILL, works of Claude Bibeau…
