The Sophie Show! coming to PÄS in september…

Sophie Kipner is coming to town this september to display her recent illustrations in “The Sophie Show!” You know her face from Channel101.com’s Everything, you know her stories as an LA-based freelance writer, now come see another one of her colors in a display of portraits and abstract illustrations during the Downtown Fullerton Art Walk, Friday, September 7, 2012, from 6-10p.

Sophie Kipner’s writing has appeared in Metazen, One for the Table, and FORTH Magazine. She grew up in Topanga, California, and is a magna cum laude graduate of the Annenberg School of Journalism at the University of Southern California. Her essay, ”Stolen Eggs,” was selected by Food News Journal and CNN’s Eatocracy as one of “today’s top stories from around the globe.” 

Aside from her writing, Sophie illustrates many of her stories and essays, and her artwork has been exhibited at various shows in the Los Angeles area. She was also the host of Channel 101′s Everything series, a 19-episode web show which was chosen as a Vimeo Staff Pick and featured on NPR’s All Things Considered.
