the sixties in two thousand ten

it just so happens that the two museums most dear to my heart are on a trip through the sixities. the Fullerton Museum is now featuring Technicolor Dreaming: Psychedelic Posters from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum and The GRAMMY Museum is hosting their own show Strange Kozmic Experience; The Doors, Janis Joplin, and Jimi Hendrix: The Art and Artifacts of the Icons Who Defined a Generation.

i love and appreciate the art and hand-drawn type in the posters, the music and love of woodstock and the free spirit lifestyle. i guess i’m a bit of a hippie at heart.

i happen to be designing the materials for The GRAMMY Museum. but i’m enjoying this generation that i missed.
