Letterpress “Calling Cards” by Alex Jackson. Set one or two lines of type for a very simple, minimalist “Victorian” business card – just Name/Phone or Name/Email. Alternately, you may wish to print a small sentence like “My cards are authentically letterpressed and yours aren’t!”
This workshop is very personal hosting classes with only 2-4 participants. Alex will bring his Chandler and Price PILOT press with about five drawers of fonts (all very heavy), some leading, furniture, some composition sticks, and ink.
Everyone should come away with approximately 50 cards on Crane Lettra 110lb. Cover stock. You may bring in your own paper and/or custom Polymer plate.
